The stars aligned to bring together my art with the fantastic work of fellow creative, Deb Berkebile, in this awesome exhibition held at The West Woods Nature Center in Novelty, OH. We call it "This Vivid Planet", in celebration of all wonders, big and small, found on Earth and just beyond. My paintings center around birds, bugs, water, rocks, and the glorious night sky. Deb's quilts combine recognizable people and subjects with color and patterns that are pleasing to the eye.
Our opening reception this past Saturday was well attended and I was so pleased to see friends and family gather to celebrate with us. I asked all of my guests to pick their favorite piece so we could take a photo together. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it out and spend the afternoon with us.
Not only did we get to see a bunch of friends, but I saw a bunch of Red Dot stickers show up throughout the day, too! Some of the pieces that have already been claimed are featured below:
The show is truly beautiful. I need to commend the skills of the Geauga Parks employees for arranging our artwork together and giving it a beautiful flow and cohesion. The exhibit is on display from now until May and the Nature Center is open daily from 10am - 4pm. Please stop in any time, and if you do, take a photo by your favorite piece and tag myself (@mamapaynter) or Deb (@deb_berkebile) so we can see!
The West Woods Nature Center is located at 9465 Kinsman Rd. Novelty, OH 44072
